The two most popular electronic hearing protection on the market. The Walker are probably the most common and enticing with affordable addon options like plug-and-play walkie-talkies. That will definitely up your operator cool factor but unfortunately, that’s where the winning ends.
I just hate to be the bearer of bad news for all the Walker Razor Slim fans but this was hardly a contest. There was an immediate winner here, without a doubt. Howard Leight Impact Sports had much better audio amplifiers, the sound from the speakers had better depth, and situational awareness was much improved with stereo sound.
Walker Razor Slim had only mono audio amplification and everything sounded like it was coming through an old analog radio. There is minimal situational awareness with mono.
Winner: Howard Leight Impact Sports

These aren’t necessary but I also recommend the Noisefighter Sightline gel ear cups for improved comfort. They have cuts for your eye protection to sit a little bit lower to your ear which really helps reduce pressure points.
